The Golden Compass

What a shame... I was really looking forward to seeing this, it looks really well done and interesting. Too bad it's about killing God. This strikes me as the kind of thing that needs to be revealed to every person (especially Christians) who are planning on viewing this film, so please share as you see fit:

You may already know about this, but I just learned that something about this movie (coming out in December) starring Nicole Kidman. The Golden Compass, while it will be a watered down version, is based on a series of children's books about killing God. Please follow this link, and then pass it on. From what I understand, the hope is to get alot of kids to see the movie - which won't seem too bad - and then get the parents to buy the books for their kids for Christmas. The quotes from the author sum it all up. I'm going to tell everyone about this movie.

Hubby and I took the kidlets for a walk around D Town, these are a few things we saw:

Sugar Cookies!

We made cookies with the kidlets last weekend (Aunt G made the dough, Mommy and the kids cut them out, Nonnie and the kids decorated, and we all enjoyed eating them!). When Uncle R was informed that we'd be taking the cookies to Detroit for Thanksgiving he asked, "What if I want some?" to which our son replied, "Well, you have all the ingredients!" and we laughed so hard at his kid-logic...

Girl Power - and a MOVIE!

For two weeks this month we were blessed with the chance to care for another little girl (we'll call her K) during the work day and we all had such a blast! We did our normal school day and schedule with her and she did very well. I suspect that when Monday rolls around we will miss her greatly (she's with family now).


K and our Princess became fast friends and were basically inseparable every day...

Apple and Pumpkin Fun

I know it's been obscenely empty here - I've had the greatest intentions to keep this blog up and plan to do so in the future (at least with more regularity) but our lives have been so busy lately! To make up for my lack of blogs I'll share with you some pics we took at Heritage Farms in Hesperia where we choose our pumpkins. We play in the field for a while and then usually take a hay ride - enjoy!
